“Joe & Pam new WC title!”
Brookestone’s Blackbeard WC — “Joe” — Black Flatcoat Male — O/H Pam Morris
Pam and her boys were busy at the Flat-coated Retriever Society of America (FCRSA) National specialty! Joe, Oliver and Pam traveled to St. Louis Ponds, Gervais, Oregon, where Joe & Pam earned their Working Certificate. They also earned a Junior Hunter Leg and 2nd Place in the FCRSA Unsteady Singles-A competition. And to prove that he’s more than just a working dog, Joe then won a 2nd Place rosette in Open Dog at the FCRSA National Specialty conformation show. Way to go, you handsome boy!
“Oliver & Pam new WC title!”
Ch Wind Dancer’s Dare To Dream WC — “Oliver” — Liver Flatcoat Male — O/H Pam Morris
Talk about being on a roll! Oli & Pam earned his Working Certificate, along with a JH Leg and 3rd Place in the Unsteady Singles-A competition! It has been so much funto watch Oliver develop into an enthusiastic working dog that understands the game. He truly loves working for Pam. This team has come a long way, and we’re sure that Oliver will soon add a JH to his name.
“Gustav & David new JH title, new WC title!!”
Ardenwood Gustav As A Wayfarer JH WC — “Gustav” — Black Flatcoat Male — O/H: David Kunkle
Gustav and David had a spectacular time at the FCRSA specialty at St. Louis Ponds, Gervais, Oregon. Gustav earned his Working Certificate, the fourth leg for his Junior Hunter title (four for four!) and a Judges’ Award of Merit (JAM) in the Steady Singles competition (he and his brother were two of the youngest dogs in the competition, and they both JAM’d.) Gustav’s flying water entries were the talk of the specialty field events. We’re looking forward to watching Gustav running Senior in the fall, and perhaps setting a new personal best in some local Dock Diving events.
“Zip(!!!) & Joe new WCX title!”
Ch Ardenwood As Time Goes By JH WCX — “Zip(!!!) — Liver Flatcoat Male — O/H Joe Skorupa
Zip(!!!) continues to demonstrate how much he loves the game. At the FCRSA National Specialty at St. Louis Ponds, Gervais, Oregon, this team earned a Working Certificate Excellent and JAM’d in the Steady Singles competition. After the Steady Singles event, a judge from one stake commented: “I’d take that liver dog home in a heartbeat. I’ve got an extra crate in my car…” A judge from another stake stood up and said: “Oh, no you don’t! I saw him first!” The next weekend, Zip(!!!) & Joe earned their first Senior Hunter Leg at the Rogue Valley Retriever Club 2008 Spring hunt test.
“Shadow and Jeanne new SH title!”
Topwater Under His Wings SH — “Shadow” — Black Lab Female — O/H Jeanne Collier
“Shadow” is Jeanne’s third generation Senior Hunter. She earned her SH title at the Sierra Nevada Retriever Club hunt test in Fallon, NV. Shadow is just two years of age, and all of Jeanne’s work, prayer and worry paid off beautifully! Shadow has made Mama Gwen and Grandma Cinder proud. Jeanne’s next goal for Shadow is a CGC.
“Ruby & Suzanne new JH title!”
Princess Zen Ruby Roja UDX JH — “Ruby” — Golden Retriever Female — O/H Suzanne Mikolajcik
Ruby Roja, UDX earned her Junior Hunter title on May 25 at Sauvie Island in Portland, Oregon. Ruby has an AKC ILP and is seven and a half years old. She began hunt training with Cheryl less than one year ago, in June of 2007 after earning her UDX in Obedience. Suzanne says that she thanks God for bringing a dog like Ruby into her life and that thanks to Cheryl, Ruby can spend the rest of her working career running, swimming, retrieving and enjoying herself in nature. Suzanne & Ruby are training for Ruby’s WCX.
“Memo & Barbara new WC title!”
Ch MACH Shasta Action Item VCD1 RA OF WC — “Memo” — Black Flatcoat Female — O/H Barbara Fowler
Memo and Barb had a great time at the FCRSA specialty in Gervais & Albany Oregon. In the field events, Memo earned her Working Certificate, her second Junior Hunter leg, and a Judges’ Award of Merit (JAM) in the Unsteady Singles-B competition. She also earned a third JH leg at the Marin Retriever Club 2008 Hunt Test.

“Zinger & Jean qualify for the Master National!”
Coarsegold’s Flaming Red Zinger CD MH WCX — “Zinger” — Golden Retriever Female — O/H Jean Mott
Wow! Zinger & Jean’s hard work have paid off again! They have qualified for the Master National. Zinger & Jean picked up Master legs at the Hills Ferry HRC test in March and the Lassen Retriever Club test in April. Way to go team! You are an inspiration to us all!
Legs toward titles:
Sunbeam’s Leap of Faith SH WCX — “Flyer” — Golden Retriever Female — O/H Jean Mott
Not to be shown up by Zinger’s performance, Flyer and Jean earned their first two Master Hunter legs this spring. Flyer lived up to her name, and flew through Senior, and we expect that soar to her Master title as well. We expect to see her name up on the Master National Qualifier list in no time.
Ch Bertschires’s Black Rhian — “Sophie” — Black Flatcoat Female — O/H Harvey Riggs
Sophie & Harvey earned a second leg toward Sophie’s Junior Hunter title at the FCRSA National Specialty in Gervais, Oregon. Sophie is working beautifully for Harvey, and she’s certain to earn her JH field title in the fall hunt test season.
Blue Ribbon Adventure Shuttle ** SH WCX — “Shuttle” — Golden Retriever Female — O/H Diane Glassmeyer
At just over two years of age, Shuttle earned her first Master Hunter rosette at the Marin Retriever Club hunt test in Suisun City. Congratulations to them both! Shuttle is a rocket-ship, and she and Diane are certainly fun to watch! We’re sure to see this team on the list of Master National Qualifiers soon.
Rivercity’s High Caliber AX MXJ — “Cal” — Golden Retriever Male — O/H Tracey Mays
Cal and Tracey took a road trip up to Oregon this spring and earned their first two Junior Hunter legs
at the Rogue Valley Retriever Club doubleheader. They followed it up with a third pass at the Marin Retriever Club hunt test. Cal will soon be sporting a hunt test title along with all of his agility accomplishments.
Chi Luke of Copperidge — “Luke” — Golden Retriever Male — O/H Alan Kabert
Luke and Alan earned their second and third Junior Hunter Legs this spring. Leg number two was earned in Los Banos at the Hills Ferry Hunting Retriever Club hunt test, and one month later they picked up their third rosette. Luke turned one year old five days before earning that third leg at the Marin Retriever Club test. Luke is becoming a very stylish worker, and this team is really fun to watch. Way to go, guys One more to go!
