NEW TITLES:
“Ryman & Ardith – New MH Title”
Fern Hill Sunrise at the Ryman – “Ryman” – o/h Ardith Osborn – Golden Retriever Male

Ardith and Ryman received their Master Hunter title at the Sagehens Retriever Club Fall Hunt Test held at Denverton over the October 7th-8th weekend. Ardith wants to thank Cheryl and the groups she trains with for all the help and support they’ve given her along the journey towards this accomplishment! She said that Ryman is a very exciting dog to run and she’s learning a lot from him, but without Cheryl none of their achievements would have been possible. Congratulations to a very talented team!!!
“Windy & Cathy – New SH Title”
Magicgold’s Wind in the Willows – “Windy” – o/h Cathy Colley – Golden Retriever Female
Windy earned her Senior Hunter title at the Sagehens Retriever Club test at Denverton in September. Windy had one previous pass from a trip to Arizona in February. Cathy and Windy came up North to train and run the Fall tests at Denverton, and received 4 straight passes over 2 weekends at the Marin Retriever Club and Sagehens Retriever Club tests. Cathy is very proud of Windy’s work those weekends, and said that Windy ran nice straight lines and did some good dog work! Cathy has had a wonderful journey with Windy and is grateful to Cheryl for Windy and for working with them on their trips up north to train! Congratulations to Windy and Cathy on their hard work and wonderful accomplishment! Windy is now formally known as Magicgold’s Wind in the Willows CDX RN TDX SH WCX VCX CCA. Cheryl is very proud of you two!!!
“Tyler & Paddy – New WCX Title and 1 Senior Hunter Leg”
Feldspar Dream On at Windsong JH WCX – “Tyler” – o/h Paddy Berne – Standard Poodle Male

Congratulations to Tyler and Paddy on their new WCX Title and first Senior Hunter pass! Paddy took a little roadtrip up to Oregon in September to attend the Poodle Club of America Regional show. It was a very successful trip for them! Tyler not only received his Working Certificate Excellent (WCX) title, but entered his first Senior Hunter Test and earned a pass there too. Paddy is very proud of how Tyler performed that weekend and said that he was the only dog to pass the Senior Hunter test. Great job Paddy and Tyler!!! Your hard work and dedication are paying off!
“Ali’i & Debbie – New SH Title”
Hui Nalu’s Royal Flush With A Joker – “Ali’i” – o/h Debbie Chun – Labrador Retriever Female

Ali’i and Debbie had a busy Fall, running hunt tests and field trials, and earning some ribbons at both! At the Marin Retriever Club (MRC) Fall Hunt Test at the end of August/beginning of September, they entered their first Senior Hunter stake and earned their first leg. The following weekend, they ran their first Derby at MRC’s Derby/Qual Field Trial and brought home a Judges Award of Merit (JAM) in the Derby. The next day they entered the Sagehens Retriever Club Fall Hunt Test and earned their second Senior Hunter leg. In October they did a lot of traveling. They went down to Lost Hills the 2nd and 3rd weekends in October and earned two more Derby JAMs. Then the following weekend they went to Chino and ran the double Senior stake of the Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California Fall Hunt Test, earning the final two legs for their Senior Hunter title. Debbie is very proud of her little brown dog who earned her SH title at under 19 months old! She said that Ali’i is so much fun to run and always exciting, although maybe scary, to watch. Debbie would like to thank Cheryl for all her guidance and training that allowed her and Ali’i to obtain these accomplishments!

“Reegan & Bruce – 4 Master Hunter Legs”
Magicgold Ruff ‘N Ready To Go MH – “Reegan” – o/h Bruce Hayes – Golden Retriever Female
Bruce and Reegan went into the Fall tests running as strong as they finished the Summer tests, picking up 4 more Master Hunter legs. They earned a pass at the Redwood Empire Retriever Club test held in Smith River, then ran and passed the Marin Retriever Club and Sagehens Retriever Club Fall tests held at Denverton. They also traveled to Chino for the Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California Fall test and received another pass there. This amazing team just needs 2 more passes to be qualified for the 2014 Master National! Way to go Reegan and Bruce!
“Indee & Bruce – 1 Master Hunter Leg”
Wright’s Mindy’s Independent Girl SH – “Indee” – o/h Bruce Hayes – Golden Retriever Female
Indee and Bruce earned their 3rd Master Hunter pass at the Redwood Empire Retriever Club test in Smith River in August. Bruce is very proud of Indee for working with him and and getting through a very tough test. They just need 2 more legs for their title. Congratulations to this hardworking team!
“Flyer & Jean – 1 Master Hunter Leg”
Sunbeam’s Leap of Faith MH – “Flyer” – o/h Jean Mott – Golden Retriever Female
Flyer and Jean earned another Master Hunter leg at the Sagehens Retriever Club Fall Hunt Test in September. After taking most of the summer off while Jean was recuperating from knee replacement surgery, Flyer showed that she’s an experienced Master Hunter and worked well with Jean to earn their first pass towards qualifying for the 2014 Master National.
“Bounder & Barbara – 1st Junior Hunter Leg”

Congratulations to Barbara and Bounder on their first Junior Hunter pass! They earned their first JH ribbon at the Marin Retriever Club Fall Hunt Test at Denverton. Barbara was extremely proud of Bounder for working with her to mark and bring back all the birds! It was very exciting for them to get that first pass. Congratulations to this team’s hard work!!
“Leif & Pam – 1 more Junior Hunter Leg”

Congratulations to Pam and Leif on earning an additional Junior Hunter leg at the Marin Retriever Club Fall Hunt Test at Denverton at the end of August. This team continues to work well together and their ribbon collection proves it! Great job Pam and Leif!

Harvey and Sammy received another 2 Junior Hunter Legs both days of the Marin Retriever Club Fall Hunt Test over Labor Day weekend. Sammy always does her best to work with Harvey and it’s great to see this team in action. Congratulations to Sammy and Harvey on all their achievements!!
“Roca & Cheryl – 3 Senior Hunter Legs”

Roca and Cheryl made their Senior Hunter debut at the Sagehens Retriever Club Fall Hunt Test in September at Denverton and got earned their first pass! They took a roadtrip down to Chino in October to run in the Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California Fall Hunt Test and came home with two more Senior passes. Roca and Cheryl are well on their way to completing their Senior Hunter title and will soon be joining the rest of the Magicgold dogs running in Master! Cheryl is very proud of ‘baby’ Roca. Congratulations to the youngest of Cheryl’s Magicgold girls!!

Cheryl had a busy and successful Fall with her older dogs too. Keltie earned 3 more Master Hunter legs at the Marin Retriever Club Fall Test and the Sagehens Retriever Club Fall Test at Denverton, and at the Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California Fall Hunt Test in Chino. In between the hunt tests, they also earned a JAM in the Qualifying stake of the California South Coast Retriever Club Fall Field Trial. Congratulations to a very talented team!!!

Not to be outdone by her sister, Gabby was also very successful running the Fall hunt tests! Cheryl and Gabby also received passes at the Marin and Sagehens tests at Denverton, as well as the Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California test in Chino. Cheryl says that she always enjoys running Gabby because she loves doing her job and is fun to run! Great job Cheryl and Gabby!!!
